This is why you are seeing what you are complaining about in the gameplay. First and foremost, you can only innovate a single game so much. I think this is maybe the worst thing you can do for a game for a myriad of reasons. I think the biggest mistake they make is releasing a game every. I think they shoot themselves in the foot continuously and, this is going to sound a bit gatekeepy, the only people who end up playing the game are the people whose entire repertoire of games is COD and Madden. I haven't understood it for years honestly.
I have no idea why anybody plays COD anymore.
